青年向坂伸行（玉森裕太 饰）在浏览网页的时候误打误撞的点开了一个名为“雨树之国”的博客，就此结识了博客的管理者瞳（西内玛利亚 饰），巧合的是，瞳不仅和向坂年岁相仿，而且生活在同一个城市。就这样，两人开始了邮件的往来，一来二去之中感情急速升温。向坂十分想在现实里见一见这位志同道合的好友，可是瞳却犹豫了，因为她有一个秘密——瞳患有感音性耳聋。 经不住向坂的软磨硬泡，怀着忐忑的心情，瞳和向坂终于见面了。然而，这两人的初次约会并不完美，瞳种种怪异的举动让向坂感到非常的烦躁，最终，忍不住脾气的他向瞳发火了，瞳这才露出了耳朵上佩戴的助听器。
